Quentin Tarantino's palm reading

Sometimes, you get lucky. I found this press line photo of Quentin Tarantino's hand out of the blue one day while researching a different celebrity's palm, and filed it away for safe keeping until today. Although the closeup blurs the finer details, we can still read many aspects, such as the fact that Quentin is an Air hand.

Contemplative by nature, Air handed people are the intellectuals of our society, and Quentin's cerebral tendencies have certainly served him well in his profession... Quentin thinks alot. He's the director who calls the producer at 3:42 a.m. with details about the upcoming shoot, because he can't let go of it in his mind. Truthfully, he over-analyzes things, as we can tell in the taper of his fingertips. But perfection can be a good thing (unless it becomes obsessive) so it is quite possible that Quentin sees this aspect as a beneficial character trait.

And, are those moles on his palm? Or was there something on his hand this day? A mole is a rare find on the palm of an adult hand, as typically melanin is far less present in the palms of our hands and soles of our feet. What would it mean in palmistry terms if these are twin moles? Mole reading (on all parts of the body) is a common divination technique in several Eastern cultures, and their many theories are contradictory, due in part to regional differences (i.e. Chinese palmistry and Indian palmistry are entirely different disciplines, with different underlying principles). However, moles are universally considered noteworthy -- whether for good or bad -- and they fall on Quentin's mount of Apollo, traditionally associated with the arts, and most especially performance arts.

Quentin is somewhat impulsive but there's a hair's breath of a connection at the very beginning of the Life and Head lines that saves him from spinning into the realms of complete impulsivity on a regular basis. His Head line's termination point is difficult to determine, but the photo suggests it trails into the mount of Luna, the area of the subconscious, showing a creative thinker who is adept at pulling from these internal influences when setting about mental tasks.

Sadly, the finer details are lost on Quentin's Heart line, but we can see that he makes friends easily, as his Heart line reaches the fingers, and the depth of the line tells us that he feels his emotions fully, without shying away from their intensity.

From an early age, Quentin believed himself to be qualitatively "different" than the people who raised him -- having greatly different values, and/or different priorities -- and as such he may have considered himself a loner, a "freak" because of his willingness to set himself apart from others, as seen in his Ego line as well as the spacing of his fingers. The depth of the line shows that despite being a maverick, he has clearly felt a strong sense of self during this lifetime. Notice how it leans to (and crosses) the Head line at an angle? This indicates an individual who's spent much of his external life manifesting the influences of his internal (mental) life. That is to say, Quentin thinks of it, and then he makes it appear. When taken to dangerous levels, this tendency can lead to intense narcissism, as if the world exists solely for their amusement, however it's impossible to read if this is the case with Quentin given our example of his palm.

Lastly, Quentin is musically inclined, and if he does not currently study music nor play an instrument, then he would do well to do so. I can see Quentin at a piano... but only Quentin would know for certain if he's dabbled at it.

Nene Leakes' palm reading

I admit, The "Real Housewives" television shows on Bravo network are my secret public vice, and this week I'm taking a look at one Atlanta housewife, Nene Leakes, whose unpredicatable antics are part of her established TV character. But, what does her palm say about her true self?

Well, she's impulsive alright. The notable gap between her Life line and her Head line shows a disconnectedness with how Nene thinks about things, and how she reacts "in the moment," which translates into a lifelong pattern of impulsiveness. However, her thought patterns are long and creative, not short and hasty, as seen in the length of her Head line. Also, there is a strong branch that forks from the Head line, and given the shakiness and fragility of the downward pointing branch, it indicates the fragile and depressed side of Nene's mind that doesn't appear on camera as often as her brazen, "two-snaps-up" self does.

Nene's Life line is a lovely arch showing a remarkable balance between being a homebody and being a thrill-seeker. However, the Life line seems to stop about halfway down the palm. Amateurs might call a short Life line the sign of a short life, however this is not true. Instead, Nene will perceive her life as being "too short" no matter what age she passes at, even if in her late 90's.



Nene is often abrasive on camera, and when it comes to matters of the heart she feels things deeply, and quite passionately, but as a result? She lets few into her heart, and there are few whom she loves deeply and trusts enough to share her most intimate self with. Her Heart line is markedly deep, but falls far short of her fingers, indicating a strong pattern of reluctance to initiate close relationships with others.

While her palm lines are fairly easily exposed in these photos, Nene's hand shape is harder to read, and I should know because I've been fascinated with her hands for several seasons (literally, months). At first glance, she seems to be an Air hand, however something about her fingertips and fingernails suggest Nene could be an Ether hand, which is a far more rare hand shape.

The Ether hand, signifying the fifth element and associated with the cosmos and therefore cosmic consciousness, is a personality whose psychic abilities are so naturally given, they can be taken for granted (and in some cases, even somewhat ignored!) They are hands who belong to people that are a bit flighty by nature, as they seemed to be in tune to a different level of reality than the rest of us are experiencing around them.

Nene's Ego line is a tangle and too fuzzy to accurately read in these photos. What little we can see shows Nene has constantly reinvented her notion of herself, often due to personal crises. Trauma and turmoil (whether self-created or imposed upon her by situations beyond her control) have forced Nene to undergo a multitude of changes in her personal terms of self-definition.

On camera, Nene often waves her hands around expressively and I wish I could do an actual live reading for this celebrity because there is a certain unique energy that emanates from her hands, and draws my palmist's curiousity. While palm reading techniques can be applied even without an in-person sitting, as this blog demonstrates, for an energetic reader such as myself it never replaces the experience of holding someone's hand, sitting together, face to face.

Charlie Sheen's palm reading

With all the media regarding Charlie Sheen, and readers' requests coming in, how could I not hunt him down for a secret celebrity palm reading? And this is a fascinating palm for study!

When observing this palm in a long shot, my first impression was the jaw-dropping realization, "Oh my word! He's a Simian crease!" The Simian crease is a very unusual palm marking, and although the closeup reveals Charlie's palm isn't a pure Simian crease, it is still considered a remarkably close example of one, and remains an extremely unusual find. I have read hundreds, perhaps a thousand, palms and have seen two or three pure Simian creases in my career thus far. They are that unusual (at least, in my area of the world).

The Simian crease, or Simian line, is named for its resemblance to the ape or monkey's palm, and is a conjoined Heart and Head line that runs parallel across the palm.

In antiquated palmistry references, the marking is considered extremely unfavorable, and indicative of a unstable and dangerously unpredictable personality. Already you can see why Charlie's palm, and Charlie's roller coaster ride of a life, are startlingly similar.

The fact that the Head line does not actually meet the Heart line keeps Charlie's palm from veering into the sheer "animal mentality" of a pure Simian crease. The tendency remains, but the short Head line shows Charlie's thoughts run staccato and sharp, hasty but reactive nonetheless. There is no internal drive toward contemplative thoughts, long and dreamy. Instead everything is rapid fire inside Charlie's mind. Pow! Pow! Pow!

The arch of the Life line shows us that Charlie's tendency towards risk-taking grows ever wider, and therefore more prominent, as his life unfolds. In order to feel vitally alive, Charlie's need to push ahead can be all-consuming. Interestingly, this tendency will come to an abrupt halt later in Charlie's life when a new path will find Charlie, and he will find contentment without having to take risks, without needing to speed through time in order to feel truly alive. He will arrive at his center, and stay there, in what looks like a place of future stability.

In this photo, his Heart line is fuzzy around the termination point, which makes for some difficulty in reading. Certainly there is a strong tendency to remain closed off to others, as the strength of the Heart line remains far from the fingers. However, it also seems as if there are new lines that do reach the fingers, which would indicate Charlie is learning how to let others into his life in an intimate and meaningful way. Certainly the public's view of his relationships would run contrary to what his palm says, and only Charlie knows for sure.

Bodacious mounts all around - Venus, Aggressive Mars, Defensive Mars, and Moon - give a dizzying effect of all the subconscious influences at play inside Charlie. Let's not forget Charlie is a Water hand, which is yet another indicator of someone whose entire life is ruled by the emotional realm, for good and for bad. They lead with their heart, feeling their way through life using the power of their emotions to navigate. Like any Water ride, the smooth parts are lovely but choppy waters are always to be expected too,and they can be dangerous.

Charlie's spatulate fingertips show a need to channel the energy from within and manifest it into something dynamic and larger-than-life. When putting projects into action, Charlie isn't happy until the bells and whistles go off inside his head. It has to crash! bang! boom! in order for him to sit back and feel pleased.

Charlie's Ego line is quite a chameleon. On one hand, it almost looks like a secondary Head line, forking sharply down the palm, a sign of a depressive personality. But it's not. And you could also be tempted to read it as an exterior sister line to the Life line, showing a tendency toward living in two realities. But it's not that either.

So, what does his Ego line say? From early on, Charlie felt fundamentally different than those who raised him. And, his path of self definition veers towards the Head line, showing a tendency to live within the mental world, the world of his mind, the interior reality far more than the exterior reality. In essence, everything in this world exists as Charlie's mental projection. We are all dancing to Charlie's tune. The media's attention, the goddesses, the interviews, this blog, you and I... we all exist solely for Charlie's entertainment, by his perception. It is a somewhat Caligula-like tendency. Winning!

Gordon Ramsay's palm reading

"Shut it down!" It's Gordon Ramsay's tag line, and any fan knows Ramsay is as choleric as they come. So, you'd expect to see a Fire hand, or a Water hand to denote his emotionalism, or maybe even an Earth hand since he's a chef (like Emeril's)?

I thought so too, until a good look at Gordon's hands shows him to be none of the above. He's an Air hand. Incongruous, yes, but true!

Air hands are the intellectuals in our society, the ones who are happy to put their nose in a book, or simply to be left alone to study the subjects that tickle their fancy. With Gordon's rough-and-tumble childhood, he hardly seems the type to seclude himself in the rarified air of higher learning, but Air hands are also known to be self-studiers. Perhaps it was his innately intellectual nature that took hold of Gordon years ago when he left "football" to study culinary arts.

Gordon may be difficult to please in the kitchen, but his hand shows him to be a person who does not like to argue with others. And, Gordon is actually easy to negotiate with. He's longer on logic than he is on will power, so egotistical displays are not in his nature. Does this mean his TV persona is just an act for the cameras? Perhaps. He is certainly a very different man when shooting than when he's not. And, I'm talking night and day kinda different.

Gordon's fingernails show his analytical abilities are accute, and his knuckle patterns show his philosophical side at work, with thought patterns that travel in circles, contemplatively, before he releases those thoughts into action.

And, it's hard to tell if it's just the picture (above) or if his pinkie finger really does have a crook in its last digit, but if Gordon was born with this hand shape -- and the disjointedness is not the product of a previous injury -- then Gordon is particularly private about intimacy. Not surprising, since his wife Tana and his children don't spend much time in his limelight, so his familial protectiveness likely stems from his desire to guard their privacy.

I often wish I could read celeb's hands in person. For Gordon, I'd barter a palm reading for a chocolate fondant any day.

Lady Gaga's palm reading

If you think you know Lady Gaga, the Fame Monster, you're in for a surprising palm reading. Actually, hand reading is more correct since the Gaga-nator has successfully hidden her palm from this secret celebrity palm reader.

Lady Gaga is an Air hand, with some Fire tendencies, an interesting mix since air feeds fire, and in many ways, Lady Gaga's inspiration is both self-created and self-sustaining. It's no wonder she writes her own material, she abounds with creativity. The Air handed tendencies show Lady Gaga to be an intellectual, one who has an active mind and enjoys self-studying. This compliments her educational upbringing, as Gaga was classically trained.

However, it is her Fire handedness that gives her the highly charismatic nature that we, the public, know so well. Fire handed people are the salesmen (& women) of the world. They have the gift of talking anybody into anything (Eskimos? Ice cream? Check!) and usually so politely that people fall all over themselves to comply.

But here's something I wouldn't have expected, Lady Gaga considers herself quite shy by nature, and despite being in the limelight every moment of every day, performing for thousands, she prefers to give attention to others more than to take it all for herself.

Here's another unexpected detail, she's stronger in logic than in will power. When negotiating, she is not the type to "diva out" and throw her ego around, but instead favors a logical approach. She indulges herself, but not beyond reason by her own thinking. Guilt is not in her nature.

Lady Gaga is left-handed and you would think that a woman who lives her life as overexposed as Gaga does would make finding a good, clear palm picture of her left hand quite easy. Not so.
